The theme of updates this week is making your experience calmer and easier to work through your reading backlog.
Home
There are two jobs to be done when you open Skyreader: (1) find new things to read and (2) read things you already found. The issue with new things is that they are very distracting so I wanted a calmer entry to Skyreader than the existing feed view, which upon loading immediately refreshes and shows you all the new stuff.
So, I've changed the default view to the new "Home" view, which is a calmer space to get back into what you were reading without being confronted with the new shiny.
The home view displays rows for:
Articles you're in the middle of but haven't finished
Random saved articles, to help find stuff in your backlog
Recently saved articles, to jump into what you just saved
Each of your saved article channels
Your daily magazine, a new feature described below
If you prefer the old experience you can switch the default view to Feeds or Saved instead.
Daily Magazine
Daily magazines are a feature to help you work through your saved reading backlog. You set a desired reading time (e.g. 20 minutes) and then generate an issue that bundles as many saved articles that fit that reading time constraint.
You can also control how articles are selected (newest, oldest, random) and each issue saves your places and shows up in the home view so you can easily dive back in later.

Paged view
Paged view turns your long articles into a book. Rather than scroll, flip pages! On wide screens you get two columns.
Paged view is particularly great for E Ink devices. I just got a Boox tablet and paged view plus magazines have been great for working through my backlog.
A bunch of other improvements suggested by folks on have also made it in (better font controls, fetch full article, exclude only channels). If there's something you want, drop some feedback!
